Brown 2 packages ground turkey:
Chop all your veggies:
Dump in your crock pot:
1/2-3/4 box pasta your choice (1 used rotini)
1 cup water
1 can diced tomatoes
1 jar pasta sauce
1 tbsp chopped garlic
2 cups cooked meat
1 1/4 chopped pepper (1/4 each red, yellow & orange, & 1/2 green pepper
7 chopped mushroom stems (leftovers from stuffed mushrooms)
1/2 small onion chopped
2 large handfuls mozzarella cheese
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
Mix up and crock on keep warm for about 3 hours then sprinkle the top with more cheese. May need salt (depends on what you like).
I basically got out twice the amount of ingredients and put one in the freezer (- the water) for later.
*The leftover cooked ground turkey: Add 1/4 cup taco seasoning. Simmer a little while to get flavor mixed into the meat and put in a ziploc for the freezer. = Taco meat!
I served with salad and garlic bread :)
